Welcome to our yoga retreat in the Himalayas. It’s an affordable course for that entire enthusiast who is looking to escape from daily monotonous life in the city for a few days of yoga, spiritualism and refreshing both mind body and soul. Our yoga retreat is filled with breathing techniques, yoga asanas (all these simple postures can be done on daily basis) and few trips to hills surrounded by nature.

Our school lies in the heart of the Tapovan village filled with cafes, waterfall, walk around the hills, the paddy field where the villagers are growing organic food, and people from all different parts of the world interacting with each other. It’s a perfect place to let go and finally breathe and clear your mind for a while. There are numerous places to hang out with similar mindsets of people in a cafe, musical events, yoga classes, cafes, mountain sports etc. Once in Tapovan one is never bored of doing something.

our retreat course varies from simple 3 days to a hardcore level of 10 days.

COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum of the yoga retreat course can vary from those of teacher training as well based on the number of days the retreat course. The 3 days yoga retreat will touch on the basics of Breathing exercises and yoga asanas while the 7 days and 10 days yoga retreat course will very much follow the yoga teacher training curriculum.

DAILY SCHEDULE

THE MORNING SESSION

 This will lead students from morning wake-up routines to the morning exercises required to re-energize the body and mind for the day

Satkarma – This cleansing of nostrils (after all the oxygen and carbon dioxide passage should always be free of obstacles. These get blocked from the previous day.

Breathing exercise – In today fast pace working and the living environment we ignore the importance of breathing. We just do not comprehend much about it. It’s the typical form of creation of stress. Breathing excessively is important to allow a continuous movement of oxygen to our lungs. Our exercise also helps bring back the strength to our lungs, and the stomach help regenerate those habits we forgot growing up. 

The Ashtanga asanas – The Ashtanga asanas class wakes us up completely and keeps us energised the whole day.

AFTER BREAKFAST SESSION

Classes after breakfast classes are mostly about learning about our body and the yoga philosophy. The classes are very much relaxed and the morning session has given me enough power to be focused. 

 

LATE AFTERNOON SESSION

Vinyasa Flow -multi-series – The evening session is filled with multi-series asanas. The classes are intensive and students are taught to push both mind and body to a level unexpected by the students. This allows students to strengthen their minds and prepares them to be strong mentally and find the true potential hidden deep inside of them.

Meditation – The idea is after a hard asana session in the yoga hall it is also important to relax both the mind and body. The exercise will lead the mind to relax and the body to re-compose. The Sound healing class also brings relaxation.

COURSE CERTIFICATION

After completion of the course, the students are awarded the certificate to complete the number of day’s yoga retreats from our school. Please note that under no circumstances a student completing the yoga retreat course can become a yoga instructor. According to Yoga Alliance USA, a student must complete a minimum of 200 hours to be a qualified yoga instructor. However, the yoga retreat hours can be added to the CONTINUE PROGRAMME for the RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher)

COURSE FEES INCLUDES / EXCLUDES

• Room for the duration of the course.

• 3 times vegetarian meals per day.

• 1 Therapeutic Massage.

• 1 Rafting in the ganges ( depending on the season and weather)

•  Scooty on 3 Excursion day ( These are provided after completing the routine excursion on sundays. The cost of oil as well any damage of the vehicle should be paid by the student)

• All the course materials such as exercise books, pens, books and equipment in schools yoga hall such as rope, belt, block, and a yoga mat, 1 School Tshirt, school bag.

 

• Simply anything one wants to buy personally.

• Special tour to any place.

• Transport to and from Airport or Bus stop ( The school  can organise it for the students)

• Food outside the school.

• Hiring of scooters, and any other vehicles.

• Any adventure such as rafting, mountain climbing etc. 

• Any Yoga equipment.

Any medical bill in case the student suffers from any fever or any other natural causes.  Students should have medical insurance before arriving at the school.
