There are places in this world where the air itself seems to carry wisdom — where the river moves not merely with water, but with something far older, far quieter. Rishikesh is such a place. Cradled within the foothills of the Himalayas, where the sacred Ganges flows with an unhurried grace, this ancient city has long been regarded as the Yoga Capital of the World — and rightly so. For centuries, sages and seekers have come here not to find something new, but to remember something timeless.

It is within this extraordinary setting that Ravinder Yoga School extends its invitation to you.

Our 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh is not simply a continuation of your journey — it is a deepening of it. Designed for those who have already taken their first steps upon the path and now feel the quiet pull to go further, this course is a carefully curated immersion into the very heart of yogic tradition. India, after all, is the ancestral home of this ancient science — a land shaped by the teachings of sadhus and sages whose understanding of the human spirit remains, to this day, unrivalled.

"Each element has been chosen not for its novelty, but for its depth.
Not for what it adds, but for what it reveals."

At Ravinder Yoga School, we have crafted this advanced programme with both rigour and reverence. The curriculum weaves together the dynamic precision of Ashtanga Vinyasa, the grounded foundations of Hatha Yoga, the subtle language of Mudras, and the resonant practice of Mantra chanting — all held within a thorough study of Yoga philosophy, history, and human anatomy.

What you will discover here is not merely technique. You will discover stillness within movement, meaning within form, and — in those quiet moments by the river — a profound and lasting connection with yourself. Our teachers are not simply instructors; they are custodians of a living tradition, guiding each student with patience, experience, and genuine care.

To study at Ravinder Yoga School in Rishikesh is to place yourself at the very source. The atmosphere here — primeval, natural, and deeply contemplative — is itself a teacher. The mountains hold their silence. The river does not rush. And in that unhurried grace, transformation becomes not something you pursue, but something you allow.

We welcome you — with open hearts and open doors.

Our 300-Hour Training is Curated For Those Who

Have walked the first hundred steps of this ancient path and feel, with quiet certainty, that the journey has only just begun. This programme welcomes you if you —

  • Have completed your 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and carry within you a genuine hunger to go further — not merely in skill, but in understanding. Those who sense that yoga is not a destination one arrives at, but a landscape one spends a lifetime exploring.
  • Find yourself increasingly drawn to the subtler dimensions of this science — to the intricate conversation between body and mind, between breath and consciousness, between what is seen in the physical form and what quietly governs it from within.
  • Long for a more intimate study of Yoga philosophy and anatomy — not as academic subjects to be memorised, but as living frameworks that transform the way you see yourself, your students, and the world around you.
  • Wish to refine and deepen your personal practice — to move through asana with greater intelligence, to sit within pranayama with greater ease, and to enter the luminous stillness of Yoga Nidra and meditation with greater trust.
  • Are ready to step forward as a teacher — not simply someone who instructs, but someone who holds space with confidence, presence, and genuine authority. Someone whose students leave each session feeling not just stretched, but seen.
  • Aspire to guide intermediate and advanced practitioners with the sensitivity and depth that such students deserve — understanding that to teach at this level is both a privilege and a responsibility.
  • Are wholly devoted to the path of the professional yoga teacher — and have set their sights, with clarity and commitment, upon the distinguished credential of the 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher.

Curriculum, Practical Training & Certification

300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training – Ravinder Yoga School

The deeper practice begins

Having completed your 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will quite naturally arrive at a threshold — a quiet but unmistakable feeling that there is more. More depth to explore, more understanding to uncover, more of yourself to meet upon the mat. The 300-Hour training is the answer to that feeling, and at Ravinder Yoga School, we have designed it to honour precisely that moment in a practitioner's life.

You may choose to continue your studies here, or you may come to us having trained elsewhere — in a different school, under a different tradition. Both paths are equally welcome. What matters is not where you have been, but the sincerity with which you arrive.

There is always more to learn, and the willingness to receive that learning with humility is itself a mark of an advanced student.

Every yoga school carries its own lineage, its own rhythm, its own way of holding knowledge. If you come to us from a different institution, there may be a brief period of settling — of allowing your understanding to expand into a slightly different shape. Some students find certain subjects wonderfully familiar; others discover entire dimensions of practice they have never previously encountered. This is not a shortcoming — it is one of yoga's greatest gifts.

Many 200-Hour programmes, by necessity, place their emphasis upon the physical — upon asana, alignment, and the visible architecture of the body. We invite you now into the quieter rooms of this ancient science: philosophy, anatomy, meditation, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama, and those subtler practices that work not upon the body alone, but upon the mind, the breath, and the emotions beneath them.

We ask only that you come with an open heart, a patient spirit, and the courage to go deeper.

Fifteen disciplines.
Four weeks.
One transformation.

A complete immersion into the living tradition of yoga — not as exercise, but as a science of the self. Each module is a door. Together, they open into something that lasts a lifetime.

Ashtanga is yoga in its most honest form — a set sequence of postures you practice at your own pace, guided but never rushed. A personal conversation between body and breath, with a teacher nearby to support. Every student follows the same map; each journey is entirely their own.

Once a week, before the world has woken, we carry our mats to the banks of the Ganga. The river moves silently beside you. The Himalayas rest in the distance. This is not a regular class — it is a reminder of why yoga was born here, in this land, beside this water. Students often say this single morning stays with them long after the course ends.

If yoga were a tree, Hatha would be its roots. Slower, more deliberate, and deeply connected to the breath. You will learn not merely how to do a pose, but why it works, what it does to the body, and how to teach it clearly and safely to others.

A mantra is not merely a word — it is a sound that carries energy. When chanted with awareness, that vibration moves through the body, settles the mind, and gradually shifts the way you feel. This module includes Mantra Diksha, a traditional fire ceremony on the first day.

If the body is a garden, meditation is the water. You do not need to empty your mind — that is a myth. You simply practice watching your thoughts without being pulled into them. Over four weeks, this becomes natural, and its effects on daily life impossible to ignore.

Daily Schedule & Programme Structure

A day at Ravinder Yoga School is not simply structured — it is composed. Much like the practice of yoga itself, each hour has been arranged with intention, so that the rhythm of your days becomes, in time, a form of sadhana in its own right.

The training unfolds across six days of immersive study and practice, with the seventh day set aside entirely for the soul. On this day, students are invited to explore the sacred landscape that surrounds us — the Himalayan foothills, ancient temples, holy shrines, and the quiet, timeless banks of the Ganges. These are not mere excursions. They are, in their own gentle way, extensions of the teaching itself.

There is something about Rishikesh, about the air here, about the quality of silence between sessions, that makes even the most demanding days feel like gifts.

Throughout the week, the schedule is intensive — and deliberately so. Yet students consistently find that rather than feeling depleted by its demands, they feel quietly transformed by them.

Beyond the core curriculum, we curate a series of enriching cultural and spiritual experiences — satsang evenings of devotional song, lectures on yogic philosophy and lifestyle, and carefully selected audio and video teachings that bring the broader world of yoga into the room. Weekly written assignments form a natural part of the learning process, inviting students to deepen their understanding not just through the body, but through contemplation and reflection.

Students are nourished throughout the day with three wholesome vegetarian meals, prepared with care and served with fresh fruit and the gentle restorative grace of green tea. We ask, with great kindness, that students retire by ten o'clock each evening — for it is in quality sleep and early rising that much of the transformation quietly takes place.

What follows is the daily schedule observed at Ravinder Yoga School during the 300-Hour Teacher Training — a rhythm we invite you to settle into, and in time, to call your own.
