Nestled in the sacred heart of Tapovan — where the Ganges flows pristine from the Himalayas and the ancient art of yoga has been practised for centuries — Ravinder Yoga School stands among the most distinguished residential centres in Rishikesh. Affiliated with Yoga Alliance, USA, our school has long been a sanctuary for earnest seekers from across the globe who come not merely to study, but to be genuinely transformed.
“Tapovan is not simply a location. It is, by every measure, the very heartbeat of the world’s yoga community — where the greatest masters have walked, and where the discipline is still lived rather than merely taught.”
Our teachers are not academics who have read of the ancient traditions from the comfort of libraries. They are individuals who have sat at the feet of true masters, lived in ashrams, and absorbed the wisdom of yoga as a complete way of life. They breathe its philosophy, observe its ethics, and embody its practice from the earliest hours of morning until the stillness of evening. To study under their guidance is to receive something that no certificate alone can confer — a living transmission.
The atmosphere at our school strikes a most felicitous balance: warm, welcoming, and entirely free of intimidation, yet punctual, disciplined, and intellectually rigorous. Foreign students from Europe, the Americas, Australia, and beyond have consistently found in Tapovan a community that embraces them with open arms whilst holding them to the highest standards of learning. You are not here merely to attend classes — you are here to inhabit a new way of being.
Whether you are drawn to establish a firm personal foundation, earn an internationally recognised qualification, or attain true mastery worthy of the most demanding teaching platforms worldwide, Ravinder Yoga School offers a carefully graded pathway.
Our 500-Hour Master Programme — the pinnacle of our curriculum — is conceived for those who seek the deepest immersion available. Combining the full breadth of our 200- and 300-hour programmes into a seamless, unbroken residential experience, it is designed for the truly committed student who wishes to emerge not merely as a capable teacher, but as a custodian of the tradition itself.

Testimonials
From the mountains of Tapovan — in their own words.
The mountains, the practice, the stillness — it reset something deep inside me. I left feeling lighter than I have in years.
Ravinder's teaching is unlike anything I encountered before. Practical, warm, deeply rooted. I carry the breathwork with me every single day.
Tapovan is magic. The organic food, the farm walks, the community evenings — I didn't just learn yoga, I lived it. Already planning my return.
