BEST SCHOOLS FOR 200 HOURS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING RISHIKESH
The International Yoga Teacher Training Courses
Discover Your Path in the Yoga Capital of the World
Rishikesh is not simply a destination. It is the place where yoga has been lived, taught, and passed down for centuries — and there is nowhere else on earth quite like it for those who wish to learn the practice in its truest form.
At Ravinder Yoga School, we offer three levels of internationally recognised, Yoga Alliance certified teacher training:
Each programme is fully residential. You live on campus, eat together, practice together, and absorb the rhythms of a genuine yogic life. Three nourishing lacto-vegetarian meals are provided daily, along with shared or private accommodation. Beyond the classroom, students join evening Ganga Aarti at the river, a riverside yoga session when the season permits, and weekly excursions to places such as Vashistha Cave, mountain waterfalls, and Himalayan temples.
The curriculum covers the full breadth of classical yoga — Hatha, Ashtanga, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy, and the foundational principles of Ayurveda and sound healing. These are not subjects to be studied in isolation. Here, they are woven together into a single, coherent way of living.
Many who arrive come with the intention of becoming teachers. Many others simply come to learn, to deepen their own practice, or to find something they sense is missing but cannot yet name. Both are equally welcome. The training is designed to meet you where you are and carry you further than you imagined possible.
By the time you leave Rishikesh, you will hold a certification recognised to the highest international standard. More than that, you will carry with you the understanding that comes only from having lived and practised yoga in the very place where its traditions have never been interrupted.
Yoga is a universal practice — and our doors are open to all, regardless of background, belief, age, or prior experience. You do not need to be flexible. You do not need to have practised before. You only need the sincere desire to learn.
We offer three levels of internationally recognised, Yoga Alliance certified teacher training. All programmes begin on the 2nd of every month and are fully residential — meaning you live, eat, and practise on campus throughout the duration of your training.
Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) are welcome to join any programme to add continuing education hours to their existing credentials.
"Yoga is the journey of the self,
through the self, to the self."
We bridge ancient tradition with modern movement — a curriculum rooted in lineage, alive in practice, designed for the depth of understanding that genuine teaching demands.
With a 100% certification success rate, we don't merely teach yoga — we cultivate authentic instructors, empowered to carry mindfulness to every corner of the world.

Testimonials
The mountains, the practice, the stillness — it reset something deep inside me. I left feeling lighter than I have in years.
Ravinder's teaching is unlike anything I encountered before. Practical, warm, deeply rooted. I carry the breathwork with me every single day.
Tapovan is magic. The organic food, the farm walks, the community evenings — I didn't just learn yoga, I lived it. Already planning my return.
